PEACE CUP.

THE DATES ALLOTTED.

Thames on September 20.

LAST GAME BUT ONE.

HAMILTON UNION'S DRAW. The Thames Rugby Union has received from Hamilton the list of fixtures for the games for the Peace Cup as the result of the draw for dates. It will be noted that Thames comes seventh on the list, and should it prove successful will only, have to withstand a challenge from Matamata.

In the first two matches Hamilton should not have very great difficulty in stalling off the challenges of Rotorua, who have been beaten by Te Puke for the Hurunui-Apanui Shield, whilst?" Taupiri has already been beaten by Hamilton in a*friendly game this season. * Morrinsville will probably be the first to give 'the holders something solid/to contend with, . and should they be successful in holding the Cup, Waipa should not cause them much anxiety, whilst on .their form this season Te Aroha (the old Piako Union) will give very. ; lifitle trouble, since they have not been successful against weak teams.

is siaid to be pretty strong, and' should give the holders a fair go. Then comes the Thames match, and. should they take the Cup will have' their work cut out to stall off Matamata, which is a strong team this season. The draw is:— July 12—v. Rotorua. Aug. 9—v. Taupiri. -Aug. 16 —y. Morrinsville. Aug. 30—v. Waipa. Sept. 6—v. Te Aroha. Sept. 13 —v. Cambridge.

? : ; .iSept. 20— V. Thames. '• ; v ! 'Sept. 27 —v. Matamata. ■ln the order of challenges received Thames was sixth on the list, and has therefore only slipped one match in the draw.
