AUCKLANID, Feburaiy 2. At the Supreme Court today F. j AVilson, aged 23, convicted om three ohargies of forgery amd uttering at New Plymouth, was sentenced i p 18 montlis' iniprisonmeut-. .:j! John M. Steele, alias Richard JHamrnond, convicted- of foregiy, wa,ssent-' enced to two years. Gustave Solomon, alias C. Thomas, who stole to, quamtity" of copper wire from the Tramway Company's barn, received two years. j Harold Herbert Bressey, for theft • from his employer, was. sentenced to ' two years.
George Curson, alias Wilson, a youiig man, for sentence on a. charge of forgery and uttering, had nothing to saiVi, and the Judge remarking that (the prisoner seemled. to have ' been previously convicted* of false
pretences, sent 'him to gaol for 18 months. George. H. Ebnis, a young man, who had previously been convicted at "Napier in 1899 for theft, was up for tlieft was uip on three charges of false pretences, extending between November SO amid Diecemiber 5 last. Ai sentence of two years was passed. Henry IMaddock, convicted of breakingl and entering -was sentenced to 2 years. Joseph Duff, charged with' theft, received six months'.
