MR LUCAS AT TAPU.
Mr W. H. Lucas* addressed' a meeting of the electors at Tapu on Saturday night. His speech) was similar t.> that delivered at Thames,, and was iistcned to .with attention. A vote of thanks was passed to' the speaker, Mr Lucas asking those present to prove their confidence at the ballot box.
It is stated that the election of member for the Ohinemuri district is exciting much; more interest* in that electorate than the local election: of member. The general impression is that if the two Government candidates go to the poll Mr Moss will squeeze in between the two.
