Hokitika, September 6. The Supreme Court criminal sessions commenced this morning before Mr Justice Denniston.

True bills were found by the Grand Jury in the case Regina v. Newsome, breaking, entering, and stealing, and Regina v. Mitchell, assault. Newsome was found guilty of stealing, sentence being deferred pending the Probation Officer's Report.
