On examining the kerosene bond, after tho fire was subdued, the surprising discovery was made that, despite the intense heat, the inner layer had escaped damage. They travel eleven miles in twenty-four hours. The Swedish Faster. Abbott haa successfully completed his long fast. He is fitrsaciated and weak, but otherwise appears to be well. This day. The report of the medical gentlemen attending Abbott, the Swedish faster, states that it is possible to feel his spinal column by pressing against his stomach. A Census Bill, which provides for the taking of a census on the night of April sth, has been introduced into the House of Assembly.
