HOKITIKA.
Monday. Mr F. A. Lear month, land agent and immigration officer, met with a serious accident from a pistol shot to-day. He was shooting a stray cat in the backyard, when the pistol went off, and the shot penetrated near the heart. Little hopes of recovery.
