PUMPING ASSOCIATION.

Work progresses apace, the contractors being in more favorable ground for sinking than formerly. On measnring yesterday the depth attained was 535 feet 6 inches. Two sets of permanent - timbers had been placed since-the last contract was started. The air shaft is making "fair progress, and will shortly supply good ventilation from the 500 feet lovel.
