A VINDICATION.

In yesterday's issue of the Star Mr Sims, in a short letter, denies the accuracy of that portion of the report of the late Hospital Committee meeting which applies to t himself; Mr Sims denies that he said "Dr Payne was not qualified." I must affirm that, if Mr Sims did not use those exact "W.ords,: he said the same in effect. Further on in the " correction" he says—" I am also made to say, of Dr Fox, that his qualifications, extended no further than an oculist. That I also deny." I must' gay that in the latter respect I transgressed. ;Mr Sims did not/mention the word oculist. He said, "eye doctor." » l only write this that there may be no 'misapprehension, because the report of what Mr Sims laid was-—though con-dettsed-T-aubstantially,correct. ; , - *■-*•**A ' ''-' °:" - Ybiji Bepoetee.
