THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The fortnightly meeting of the Council was held last night. There were present: His Worship the. Mayor, and Crs Macnab, Renshaw and Anthony. The Clerk read the Minutes of the last regular meeting. A letter was read from Messrs A. Bagnail and A. Thorn asking for the extension of the time of their contract tor the Waio-Karaka Road to the 10th of January. It was decided to refer the matter to the Engineer, and that the Mayor have power to act on any recommendation made by him. Cr Macnab moved and it was carried that the regular business of the Council stand adjourned till next night of meeting. ACCOUNTS. A number of certificates from the Engineer, regarding money due to stone breakers. Cr Anthony moved, and it was carried that the accounts be passed.
