The Navy announces that Telegraphist Harry Tudor Franklin, previously reported a prisoner of war, is now safe. His wife resides in Auckland. The Air Department has been advised that the Distinguished Flying Cross has been awarded to Flight Lieutenant K. A. Rutherford (father, Mr L. A. Rutherford. Hawarden). He served with the R.A.F, in the Southeast Asia Theatre.
