Gift Evening A gift evening was held in the Coronation Hall in honour of Miss Roma Cooling and Mr Vai. St-onyer. After the opening of the numerous gifts, the chairman of the social committee, Mr G. Cain, presented the couple with a clock on behalf of the Rifle Club, of which Mr Stonyer had been a member before his departure overseas. Mr Cain wished them happiness in their future married life. Tennis Club The opening of the Tennis Club for the season was held on Saturday in sunny weather. Visitors from Pleasant Valley were present and a tournament was played. The winners were Miss N. Stevenson (Woodbury) and Gaulter (Pleasant Valley).
