September Rainfall Mr C. V. Kirke advises that rain fell on 14 days for a total of 4.53 inches. The total rainfall to date this year is 33.35 in. the average to the end of September being 20.03 in. Football By defeating Albury by 3-0 Aorangi won both the the Scott Cup, which was played for by the winners and runnersup of the competition, and the Grigg Cup for the knock-out competition. The winning try was scored by L. O’Donnell. Mr B. Leatham controlled the game. The Riley Cup. which goes to the winning team in the Sub-union competition, was won by Albury. Weather The improved spell of weather was broken on Monday, when a cold rain set in, and continued throughout the day. Snow continued to fall in the late afternoon. Farmers who are busy with lambing are again faced with the worst of conditions.
