ANOTHER GRASS FIRE

Third Within Two Days

Another grass fire—the third within two days—resulted in the Timaru Fire Brigade being called out at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday to 24 Harborough Street, the residence of Mr L. Freeman.

The fire was caused by the burning off of grass. It got away and destroyed some stacks of timber. When the brigade arrived, the fire was quickly extinguished.

A warning is again issued by the Superintendent of the Timaru Fire Brigade, Mr E. W. McCann, as to the danger arising from the burning off of dry grass.
