BOY DROWNED

Dived Into Creek (N.Z.P.A.) AUCKLAND. Jan. 12. Eric John Bassett, the 13-year-old son of Mr and Mrs F. R. Bassett, of Glen Eden, was drowned while swimming in a creek at Glen Eden. The boy went for a swim with his younger brother and dived into the creek. When he did not come to the surface, the younger lad returned home and informed his parents. Tire body was found some time latei- by dragging operations.
