PERSONAL Mrs A. Milne has returned to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs B. Trumper are visiting Invercargill. RED CROSS At the monthly meeting of the Red Cross sub-branch, Mrs B. Trumper, who presided, thanked members for their ready response and request for the biscuits and cakes for the Hamner Military Hospital. The treasurer (Miss J. Gudsejl) presented a report on an executive meeting held recently in Geraldine. Members were notified that home nursing classes would commence shortly and would be held at Waihi School. A competition for a baby’s knitted set was won by Mrs W. Rennie, with Mrs McClelland 2. a quantity of wool was distributed to members. Eight children's garments were handed in for the Plunket depot. EUCHRE SOCIAL At the fortnightly euchre social, organised by the Library Committee, the prize winners were as follows: Women; Mrs McClelland 1, Miss E. Blissett 2, Mrs B. Trumper 3. Men: Mr B.
