OBITUARY

HR J. S. BRASS (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 20. A prominent Invercargill business man and sportsman. Mr John Still Brass, died this afternoon after a short illness, aged 61. At the time of his death he was serving his second term as president of the Southland Cricket Association. He was a past president of the Southland Bowling Centre. The Southland Hockey Association had him as patron from its earliest days, and he was a member of the Southland Racing Club and the Invercargill Trotting Club. He leaves a wife and two daughters.
