WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

STUDHOLME The November meeting of the Studholme Women’s Institute, which took the form of a garden party, was held at the residence of the president, Mrs T. L. Hayman, who welcomed a large number of members and visitors. A demonstration of the making of a rucked cushion was given by Mrs G. Wright. Miss S. Hayman was adjudged the winner of a competition which was held during the afternoon. An invitation to attend its birthday party was received from the Waituna Institute. A bring and buy stall in aid of Institute funds did brisk business. The monthly competitions resulted as follows: Decorated posy bowl, Mrs G. Wright 1. Pansy, Mrs J. Lindsay 1. Mrs J. Kelly 2.
