At Sea For Six Weeks PIIIFUL STORIES OF HARDSHIP United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 21. Greeted by scores of friends and guarantors, 287 Jewish refugees who were transhipped from the St. Louis at Antwerp arrived at Waterloo to-day. It was journey’s end after six weeks of wandering on the high seas and searching for a home in a friendly country. The arrivals included forty children and babies in arms. Pitiful stories were told of their suffering, but the refugees begged that their names not be mentioned for the sake of relatives in Germany. Originally from Hamburg, the party of over 900 on the Saint Louis, some 150 children, had been seeking sanctuary before the beginning of June. A wireless message from the Saint Louis recently stated that their position was becoming desperate. They attempted to land at a number of Central .nd South American ports, but were refused entrance and finally appealed to Britain.
