AT MARIANSKE LARNE-MARIENBAD.— The Spa Marianske Larne-Marienbad was a favourite resort of King Edward VII. The town, 2000 feet above sea level, is situated in the centre of a wide valley surrounded by densely wooded hills. Owing to its high altitude and sheltered position, the district enjoys a sunny, bracing climate. Springtime comes early to Marianske Larne-Marienbad, and with the spring comes a large influx of tourists. The illustration shows the spa grounds with a monument of Goethe, the German writer, in the foreground.
