THE SPA AT PIESTANY.-— The Czechoslovakian Republic contains over 170 curative and thermal spas, the most important of these being found in the province of Bohemia; but both Moravia and Slovakia possess notable health resorts with famous warm waters. Piestany, a town of some seven thousand inhabitants, lies on the banks of the River Vah in Western Slovakia and the annual number of visitors to the hot springs situated in the locality are estimated at 20,000.
