Commencing at 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday at Otipua Road, near Bowker Street, Morton and Co., Ltd., will hold a clearing sale of roofing iron, sawn timber, firewood, etc., on account of Mr R. Oliphant. The sale will be held wet or fine. On Thursday in their Mart at 2 pm. they will hold a sale of household furniture and furnishings on account of various clients. The items Include Chesterfield suites, fireside chairs, bedroom suite, rugs, etc., also hand painted ten set, ruby cut glass tumblers and bowls, heavy aluminium saucepans, ec., etc. On Saurday, December 18 at the corner of Wilkin and High Streets, Temuka, the firm will conduct a clearing sale on account of Miss R. Twoomey. Fuller details will be advertised in a later issue. A sale of valuable town properties to be offered under the instructions of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Co., Ltd., will be held by Morton and Co., in their Mart on Friday, December 10. at 2.30 pm. The properties are being sold on account of the estate of the late Margaret Wilson and consist of four building sites in Avenue Road (Wai-iti Road end, also a sound brick building and section in Woollcombe Street which could be used as a shop or factory. Also on account of Michael O’Meeghan’s trustees a property in 7-roomed wood and plaster dwelling with three sections. Full particulars may be seen in the auction columns,
