SEADOWN

TENNIS CLUB The annual meeting of the Seadown Tennis Club was held in the school on Monday night, Mr Cain presiding. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr W. Kennedy for auditing the books. The report stated that the club had experienced a very successful season, there being a membership of 42. Quite a number of these were juniors. Friendly matches were played with St. Peter’s, Presbyterian and Washdyke. Two tournaments held proved very popular. The thanks of the club were due to Mrs J. W. The Edgar Rose Bowl was won by Miss M. Hewson. Trophies won during the season were presented at the annual dance held in May.

The subscriptions for the coming season are to be the same as last year. Saturday, October 2, was chosen for the opening date.
