WIDESPREAD DISCONTENT REVEALED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright WARSAW. August 23. Eleven persons were killed and seven seriously injured in battles between striking peasants and the police cabled yesterday. The peasants in the Keilce, Cracow and Jaroslav districts stopped produce reaching the city, forcing up food prices. Farmers lined the highways, preventing others forwarding supplies to the city and raiding the police escorting food lorries, with resultant loss of life.
