SEQUEL TO CLASSIC AIR RACE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 23. The Paris correspondent of “The Times” says:—The striking superiority of the Italian, which are equipped with Alfa-Romeo engines, over French aeroplanes in the Istres air race, has aroused bitter comment. Though the French aeroplanes were commercial and the Italian military, the result is regarded as a severe lesson in 'he lack of preparation and co-operation. Inferior .... on is blamed by the I'.iglit Press, which declares that France's best pilots were betrayed by defects duo to Socialist direction of the Air Ministry and Socialist labour legislation.
