CHOLERA SPREADS IN THE EAST
ALARMING INCREASES IN CASES HIGH PROPORTION OF DEATHS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received August 24, 8.30 p.m.) HONGKONG, August 24. The cholera epidemic has seriously increased. Last week there were 369 cases and 162 deaths. This is nearly twice the pre lous week’s total.
