TOURIST’S BLUNDER
INTERESTING INTERVIEW IN "SYDNEY SUN” United Press Association —J3v Elect rl< Telegraph (Received June 30, 10.35 p.in.) SYDNEY, June 30. “The Sun” newspaper features a photograph and an interview with an overseas visitor by the Wanganella today who “likes this part of New Zealand.” His. name is Joseph Brown and ne comes from the south of France. Brown told an interviewer that he had never enjoyed himself so much and had never previously met people so kindly and thoughtful. He added: “You have a wonderful country.” “But,” Inquired the interviewer, “what cities in this country have you seen enabling you to form that opinion?" “Oh Auckland,” Brown replied. Fellow passengers z thought that Brown regarded Australia as a New Zealand colony. Brown left the wharf sniffing with obvious appreciation of the bracing “New Zealand” air.
