Government officials warn the Government of the Province of Alberta of a rapidly approaching economic crisis through crop failure and diminishing fodder. Municipalities in the drought area are faced with critical conditions and are clamouring to the Government for aid to escape starvation. Thousands of cattle have been shipped to Manitoba and Alberta. Ottawa Is considering making an emergency grant. CANADIAN WHEAT LOSSES WORST IN HISTORY OF COUNTRY United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph nnrvrigtjt OTTAWA. June 29. A report issued by the Bureau of Statistics states that Saskatchewan faces the worst crop failure in history. Much wheat land is definitely beyond hope. Alberta depends upon the early arrival of rains. The Manitoba conditions are excellent.
