Nurse’s Report The number of new babies is as follows: Breastfed 12 Mixed feeding 1 Artificial feeding .. .. .. 1 14 Visits to rooms— Adults 301 Babies 282 Older children 41 Total 624 Visits to homes— Old cases 213 New cases 37 250 We would like to thank Mrs Raymond for the gift of scales for our rooms. These have been adjusted to suit our purpose as test weighing scales, and will prove most useful. We would also like to thank Mr Anderson of the public gardens for kindly supplying us with flowers for the rooms this month, and for the promise to continue to do so. This is a very great help to us, as keeping the rooms supplied with flowers is a difficult problem, especially in the winter months. Another baby was sent to the Public Hospital during the month for observation. The baby admitted two months ago from Tarcora has been discharged. Only one visit was paid to Pareora this month. The babies there are all making good progress. The health of the babies and old children is satisfactory. We have kept touch with the mothers by telephone and letters during the quarantine period.
