HONEY FOR EXPORT
ANNOUNCEMENT Bl BOARD By Telegrapn—Press Association AUCKLAND, March 8. “The Board has decided to make known that foreign honey flavours, either straight or blended, can easily be detected by the grader, and the Board will not accept for export any honeys except those produced in New Zealand,” said Mr J. R. Butland, chairman of the Honey Control Board to-day, referring to the reports published throughout the Dominion that traders not engaged regularly in the business proposed importing cheap honeys and reexporting them. Mr Butlan-i said the shortage In New Zealand appeared to be somewhat magnified, as the crop was not yet known, but owing to the long spell of wet weather, most producers had suffered a serious reduction in the crops.
