FIRE BRIGADES
ANNUAL CONFERENCE By Telegraph—Press Association NELSON, March 8. Over 350 members of the Dominion Fire Brigades are attending the annual conference and biennial demonstra- | tions. | They weTe welcomed at the Botanical : Reserve yesterday. This morning the conference commenced, being attended by 127 delegates, a Dominion record. Superintendent A. Craig (Hamilton), welcomed the delegates, and gave a brief address. The Executive’s report was adopted, and the conference proceeded to the consideration of remits. Mr R. Girling Butcher, Inspector of Fire Brigades, was present. The demonstrations will be held on the remaining days of the week.
