GIRL DROWNED

TRAGEDY AT OAMARU By Telegraph—Press association OAMARU. March 5. Myrtle Frame, aged 16, daughter of Mr George Samuel Frame, Eden Street, Oamaru, died in the Oamaru Municipal Baths about 3 o'clock this afternoon. She was a strong, experienced swimmer and before entering the water appeared to be in her usual good health. However, on diving into the deep end she failed to come to the surface. Noticing the undue length of time she had been under the v. ter, June Craddock dived in and brought her to the surface. Artificial respiration was applied immediately and continued on their arrival by Drs. Butler and Fitzgerald, but without avail.
