CELEBRATIONS IN U.S.A. United press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received February 1, 1.20 a.m.) WASHINGTON, January 31. President Roosevelt’s 55th birthday was celebrated by 6000 balls and parties throughout the nation, there being 5,000,000 participants. The proceeds will go to the Warm Springs Foundation. In a radio address, the President said the contributions would hasten the day when infantile paralysis would be brought under control and proper aid rendered to all.
