In the course of a six day cycle race at Wembley, in which representatives of eleven nations are competing, Pecqueux (France) established a world’s record for an unpaced measured mile. TJie British team, consisting of Britain (riding a Norton), Waycott (Velocette) and Rowley (A.J.S.) won the 1400 miles six day trial without losing a single mark. They defeated the German, Czecho-Slovakian, French and Italian teams. In addition, the British Rudge team, namely MacGregor, McLeslie and Edwards, won the vase trophy run concurrently with the big race.
