AUSTRALIA’S CLAIMS QUESTIONED United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 23, 7.35 p.m.) LONDON, September 22. The Oslo correspondent of “The Times” says: Attention has been attracted by the Canberra message that Australia intends to expand her territory to include the islands and lands south of 60 degrees, between 170.45 degrees east, inasmuch as the areas embraces King Leopold Land, Queen Astrid Land, Ingrid Christensen Land and half of Queen Maud's Land, ah of which the Norwegian expeditions discovered. Captain Riieet Larsen, the aviator explorer denies ttiat Sir Douglas Mawson saw Queen Maud’s Land before Captain Larsen and Captain Lutzow Holm discovered it and flew round the coast.
