SHOES OF THE MOMENT

Women are colour conscious now in shoes as well as dress.

Nobody will laugh or stare at you, except with envy, if you walk out in shoes of:—Tyrol Blue, Hungarian Green, Castillian Orange, Czecho Gold, or Dalmatian Blue. These are the shoes of the moment. And two-colour shoes are the vogue. What do you think of a brown suede with a sunray design on the toe of orange kid, or a grey kid shoe punched with holes for coolness, and Tyrol blue toes and heels. If I had the salary of Joan Crawford I’d have a pair of each colour right away! No more dull days with such bright step-ins as these! And all these shoes are English styles made on American lasts—the most comfortable and elegant, lasts there are. And—this is most Important—the shoes are made with a better heel fitting than ever before. The toe portions are designed for more ease and comfort while remaining elegant, but it is the non-slipping heel which affects the wearer most.

And, again, their soles are a roughened type, so that if you walk out of the shop in your new shoes you are not likely to slip. For summer days the smartest thing is the fish-net shoe with a comfortable heel and a steel instep support so that the shoes cannot break in the centre. Colours are shell pink, beige, light blue and green.
