At the Sandown Park meeting, the chief event was the Eclipse Stakes, which resulted as follows: ECLIPSE STAKES, Of 100 sovs each, with 1500 sovs added. For three and four-year-olds; IS miles. WINDSOR LAD—Mr M. H. Benson’s b h, by Blandford-Resplendent, 4yrs 1 THEFT—H.H. Aga Khan’s b c, by Tetratema-Voleuse, 3yrs .. ..2 FAIR TRIAL—Mr J. A. Dewar’s ch c by Fairway-Lady Juror, 3yrs .. 3 Five horses started. Won by threequarters of a length, with the third horse a similar distance away. Windsor Lad’s victory was obtained in his final race before going to the stud, for which he is booked up for many years, at a fee of £4OO. He has won £38,000 in stake money. The horse’s value is now estimated at £BO,OOO.
