GIFT OF £SOO

CRIPPLED CHILDREN’S FUND By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, May 13. Mr J. R. McKenzie has given £SOO to the Crippled Children Society (Canterbury and Westland branch), which has now been incorporated. Advice of this gift was received by the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) this morning in a letter from the Rotary Club, announcing the incorporation of both the governing body —the New Zealand Crippled Children Society—and the Canterbury branch. Fifteen members of the Rotary Club have become members for the purpose of incorporating the local branch of the society and these have all expressed their willingness to retire as soon as the organisation is under way. The organisation is the outcome of Lord Nuffleld’s gift of £60,000 which was made three months ago when he was in New Zealand.
