AUSTRALIA ON WAY TO RECOVERY By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. May 13. Although it still had a long way to go. Australia had made substantial steps towards recovery, said Sir James Grose, general manager of the National Bank of,. New Zealand, on his return to-day by the Maunganui from a short visit to the Commonwealth. There was a hopeful tone about business in Melbourne and Sydney, he said, and money was being spent freely. In the three or four years since he was last in Australia, there had been astonishing growth, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne.
