EXCITED BIDDING

FINAL NAPIER WOOL SALE SUPER GRADES DEARER By Telegraph—Press Association NAPIER, March 25. The fourth and final wool sale of the season was held to-day with an offering of 20,569 bales. Right from the outset competition was both animated and excited, and passings were few. The bidding appeared to be well spread with Bradford lifting the bulk of the fleece wool and the Continent taking most of the skirtings. The offering for this time of the season was considered very satisfactory, particularly as there was a good deal of early shorn wool at the disposal of buyers. Prices generally were fully firm on the last Napier sale in February, and super wools were perhaps a halfpenny or threefarthings dearer. Skirtings and crutchings were about on a par with last sale. Althoujh there did not appear to be any material change in lambs wool, it was noticeable that second lambs recovered a great deal from the setback experienced at the previous sale.
