SEADOWN

SCHOOL COMMITTEE The school committee met in the school when there were present Messrs Edgar (chairman), Brosnahan (secretary), Cargo, Fitzgerald and the headmaster Mr Williams. The headmaster’s report stated that the attendance had been regular. Fences and part of the playground needed attention and supplies of coal and wood and coke would be required. The report was received and the matters mentioned are to be attended to immdiately. Regarding the water pumping account it was decided to compensate the headmaster for charges incurred up to the commencement of the school year. VANDALISM. Either late on Sunday night or early on Monday morning, the Automobile Association’s sign posts situated at the Seadown School corner were shifted to the other side of the road and placed against the fence. The traffic on this road over the week-end is tremendous, and the posts are invaluable to visiting motorists.
