Between dawn and noon, 3150 couples were married in the province of Rome, each receiving 180/- as a wedding present from the Fascist Party. There were similar wholesale marriages in other centres, to celebrate the opening of the new Fascist year. All children born of to-day’s marriages will be entitled to free outfits at Fascist institutions for maternity and infant welfare.
