DUTCH DAIRYMEN IN DIFFICULTIES
SLAUGHTER OF MILK COWS ORDERED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received October 31, 9 p.m.) LONDON, October 31. The Hague correspondent of “Tlje Daily Telegraph” says that, owing to the continued increase in the output of dairy produce, and the difficulty of exporting same, especially to Germany, v/hich is Holland’s chief market, the Government has decided to reduce the milk subsidy in 1935, and has ordered the slaughter of 150,000 milk cows. This beef will be tinned and sold to the unemployed at reduced rates or distributed free to distressed families.
