NEGOTLVTIONS FOR VISIT OF INDIAN TEAM Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. October 30. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Hockey. Association to-night a letter was received from the Australian Hockey Association stating that it had been compelled to cancel its portion of the arrangements for the visit of the Bengal hockey team in 1935. It was decided to open negotiations with the officer commanding the Indian Army for the visit of an Indian Army team in 1936 It was also decided to write to the Bengal and All Indian Hockey Federations advising that New Zealand was unable to arrange a tour on its own responsibility.
