FIRE IN HULL
BIG LOSS IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, October 26. A fire destroyed the bonded warehouse, at Hull, of John Good and Sons. The contents comprised 3000 tons of general merchandise, and 20,000 cases of Australian dried fruits. DEEDS OF EMDEN RECORDED ON TABLET IN GERMANY United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright BERLIN, October 28. A tablet has been unveiled at Emden commemorating the cruiser Emden. Those present included the commander’s widow, Frau Von Mueller, and 100 members of the crew, also Prince Francis Josef of Hohenzollern, who was a lieutenant on the cruiser.
