OBITUARY

# MRS E. R. HADFIELD By Telegraph—Pres? Association WELLINGTON, Sept. 15. The death is announced of Mrs Elizabeth Rhodes Hadfield. second daughter of the late Rev. H. E. and Mrs Tuckey. She was a woman of wide culture and never failing kindliness. A devoted friend of the blind, she was the founder of the Braille Club in Wellington after working among blind in Sydney. She was also a zealous church worker and willingly gave her time and money towards every good cause that came along. In 1895 she married Mr Henry S. Hadfield, eldest son of the late Bishop Hadfield of Wellington, who then held office as Maori interpreter to the Legislative Council. She is survived by two sons and two daughters.
