INCREASE IN BETTING
REPORT ON EAST YEAR’S BUSINESS United Press Association—By El ‘ric TeleeraDh —Copyright (Received May 18, 7.50 p.m.) LONDON, May 18. The report, of the Betting Control Board shows that the totalisator turnover in 1933 was £4,411,668, an increase of £394,089 over the previous year. The biggest pool in any race was on the Derby, when the total on the win and place machines was £26,950.
