MR HENDERSON SEEKS SOME RELIEF. British Official Wireless (Received May 18, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 17. Mr Arthur Henderson, M.P., has asked the National Executive of the Socialist Party, to release him from some of his official duties, as secretary and treasurer, having been advised to curtail his activities on the grounds of health. The executive received the request with sympathy and understanding, and decided to consult with him as to the most suitable arrangements which would be mutually satisfactory.
