GERALDINE

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH MINISTER HONOURED To mark the fifth anniversary of the induction of the Rev. W. J. Goulding the evening service at the Geraldine Presbyterian Church on Sunday was of a musical nature, and opportunity was taken by the congregation to make Mr Couling a presentation with which to augment his library. The anthems by the choir were as follow: “What are These?”, “O Taste and See,” “O Saviour of the World,” "Lead Me, Lord,” and “Lift Up Your Heads, O Ye Gates.” Solos were sung by Miss D. Paterson, “The Lord is Mindful of His Children,” Miss M. Cruickshank, “My Prayer,” and Miss V. Turner, “Angels Guard Thee.” Mr C. C. Davies presided at the organ.

At the close of the service, Mr K. MacKenzie, on behalf of the congregation. made the presentation to Mr Couling. He spoke in high praise of Mr Couling’s services, and said that the members of the Church desired to show their acknowledgment of his worth by a small gift, which, it was suggested, could be used to augment his library. The gift carried the appreciation and affection of the congregation, and they all hoped that Mr Couling would long continue to minister to them.

Mr Couling made a suitable acknowledgment.
