VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE.
Captain C. C. Knight presided at the annual meeting of the Geraldine Volunteer Fire Brigade on Monday evening. In' moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, which showed a credit of £27 12s 2d, Captain Knight thanked the members for their co-operation during the year, w*hich had been a most satisfactory one. The following officers were re-elected unopposed:—Captain, C. C. Knight; Lieutenant A. G. Bryant; Foreman, R. Helem; secretary and treasurer, J. Buckley; motor-man, A. Mackay; hon. auditor, H. W. W. Williamson. The following notice of motion was moved for discussion at the next meeting: “That, if a member be absent without an excuse three times in succession, he be struck off the roll.” At the conclusion of the business a social hour was spent.
