A falling off ha the number of unemployed men engaged on the relief works of the Masterton County Council has been recorded in the last three months. In the last two months there has been a drop of more than 50 men. The Masterton labour bureau also reports an Inclination for unemployed registrations to fall awaje The trend of a discussion at to-day’s meeting of the County Council was that a continuing drop in the number of unemployed engaged by the county could be expected, and councillors urged the completion of the unemployed works in progress so as not to be left with halffinished jobs on their hands.
